We’re excited to officially announce a new addition to Next Wave: the Northeast Region Ambassador Program.
As Next Wave continues to grow, we’re building a team of young leaders who will help expand our reach, strengthen our community, and connect more teen creators to opportunities. The Ambassador Program is designed to make Next Wave more collaborative, more visible, and more youth-powered than ever.
What Is the Next Wave Ambassador Program?
The Next Wave Ambassador Program gives high school students the opportunity to represent, promote, and grow the Next Wave community. Ambassadors help spread awareness of the platform, connect creators to opportunities, and support the growth of a strong, inclusive creative network. This program is currently open to students in grades 9–12 located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. No prior experience is required, just enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine interest in supporting creative communities.
What Does an Ambassador Do?
Next Wave Ambassadors act as connectors between Next Wave and their schools, communities, and creative spaces.
Ambassadors may:
Hang or distribute flyers in approved locations (Ex: schools, libraries, or community centers)
Share Next Wave with family and friends
Identify clubs, organizations, or programs that may want to collaborate
Work with the Heads of the Arts and Crafts on outreach efforts
Promote Next Wave features, submissions, and initiatives
Contribute outreach ideas, blog content, or creative initiatives
Represent Next Wave through online engagement or in-person opportunities
What Does the Role Look Like?
Like submissions at Next Wave, the Ambassador role is flexible. There are no strict deadlines or heavy time commitments. Ambassadors contribute on their own schedule, as long as they communicate, stay active, and remain engaged. This role is meant to fit alongside school, extracurriculars, and personal responsibilities.
We’re currently looking for 8–12 ambassadors to join our first wave. Ambassadors will work together as one team and are not divided by creative discipline.
Who Should Apply?
You should consider applying if you are:
A teen interested in arts, creativity, or innovation
Someone who enjoys connecting people and building community
Comfortable representing a creative platform
Looking for leadership experience in a supportive environment
Eligibility: Applicants must be in grades 9–12 and located in NJ, NY, CT, or PA.
What Ambassadors Gain
Ambassadors receive:
Leadership experience within a growing youth-led platform
Public recognition as a Next Wave Ambassador
Direct collaboration with the founder and executive team
Experience in outreach, communication, and creative advocacy
Resume and portfolio-building opportunities
How to Apply
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and evaluated as they are submitted, so we encourage students to apply as soon as they are interested.
