I love learning new words

they give me an invigorating feeling

let me provide every single detail

to why my life has its meaning

Now, big words make me sound smart

but truth be told that’s not quite true

I use these intimidating phrases

But not in the way they're meant to

I’ve been using them to impress

even when I use them wrong

yet these wonderful expressions

have been fated all along

To be used just to show

how much you mean to me

in this maelstrom of a world

You are the solace I rarely see
