Meet Next Wave's First Ever Head of the Arts and the Head of the Crafts

Next Wave is entering an exciting new chapter. As the platform grows, so does the team behind it, bringing new perspectives, leadership, and energy to help guide where this community is headed. As part of The New Tide, we are proud to officially introduce two student leaders who will play a key role in shaping the future of Next Wave: Emelia Trombino, Head of the Arts, and Jessie Wang, Head of the Crafts.

These roles mark an important milestone for the platform. What began as a space to spotlight teen creativity is now becoming a structured, youth-led movement—one built on representation, collaboration, and community growth.

What Are the Heads of the Arts and Crafts?

The Head of the Arts and Head of the Crafts are leadership positions designed to represent and advocate for the two creative pillars of Next Wave.

• The Arts includes visual arts, performing arts, music, photography, writing, and other expressive disciplines.

• The Crafts focuses on design, STEM, innovation, career-driven creative work, and more.

Each Head serves as a voice for their creative area while working closely with the founder to guide outreach, visibility, and engagement. Their work includes connecting with schools, programs, organizations, and creators, overseeing the upcoming Ambassador Program, and serving as visible, relatable leaders within the platform. Together, they help ensure that creators across all disciplines feel represented and supported as the platform continues to grow.
